Institutions and nfpos

As for residents and businesses, institutions and Not-for-Profit Organizations (NFPOs) are required to recycle and this is MANDATORY.

The recycling system in institutional buildings works with green rolling 360L bins. An Éco-quartier urban environmental consultant will visit your building to assess the need and the accessibility of bins by residents and city workers. They will then send this information to the City to then process an order for bins. The bins are completely free as well as any service offered by the Éco-quartier.

The recycling pick-up is also free. This pick-up happens once a week, on either Wednesday or Tuesday depending on your location in the Peter-McGill municipal district. Please refer to our Collection Schedule page.

Recycling in institutions and NFPOs is also mix-recycling, so this means that you will not need to separate paper from plastics, metals and glass.

Éco-quartier is able to supply posters and pamphlets to better educate staff and residents on proper recycling techniques.

Please call the Éco-quartier to make an appointment or to order additional bins.
